- −Completely agree! As a student I believe that you can save hundreds of dollars per semester by simply finding alternate methods of reading your textbooks. Book stores just tend to rip you off.

- This is a good article. It is very helpful.
- areki09 • 5 months agoI have an ipad and while I love not having to carry around books, I buy the textbooks for my classes. The ipad is convenient when I have classes that have a ton of PDF files because I don't have to print out and carry papers in binders. But when it comes to textbooks, I buy the hardcopies usually through Amazon or textbookscom or other textbooks sites at much cheaper prices than my school's bookstore. At the end of the semester I place my books on these sites and sell them or I wait till the next semester, stop by the class and offer students my books for a cheaper price. I usually sell all my books at the same cost I bought them for, so I don't really waste so much money on books. Just a suggestion.
- Ebooks for me are easier to use than regular books because they can be read from a computer from anywhere.

- As much as I love soft and hard cover books (especially the old treasures), this 23% illustrates how handy and convenient ebooks are for the reader; and it’s not just a fleeting trend. Who doesn’t prefer to download a book on a Kindle or Nook right at the moment you want to read it? I’d like to see more of the classics in fiction in ebook format. On my fiction blog I feature classic short stories. People love to download a quick short read, especially if it’s by a famous author like Poe, Lovecraft, Hawthorne, Arthur Conan Doyle. But truthfully, the female classic authors get the highest hits: Mary Shelley, Edith Wharton, Charlotte P. Gilman. More ebooks for classic fiction readers, please! You’ll see this 23% go higher.
- ilike ebooks it helps me alot :) more power

I was walking around town today listening to Pandora on my Android. It was nice to have the convenience of having everything digital and out of my hands. However I realized at some point during my walk that the convenience really wasn’t worth it. I was getting piss poor quality music streamed to me.
I feel like eBooks are gonna hit a certain wall like this. It’s much too early in the game for this to happen (2-5 years IMHO) right now. Once we hit that wall, I think eBooks will still dominate the market but we’ll see a resurgence in physical stuff (same with music). Maybe I’m just too optimistic but I think things like this change how we look at things overall but in the end there’s always some balanced achieved. - joe harey
